Systems Engineer II (May 2015 – Present)

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Analyze & interpret spacecraft data (MATLAB or Python)

  • DoD contractor, working within the operations team supporting Air Force communications satellites
  • Conduct the systematic analysis of operational requirements and conversion of those requirements into hardware and software system design and analysis within the domains of ground-based antennas, VTC systems, and electrical power subsystems of these satellites
  • Digital Twin IRAD: Developing a real-time simulator to retrieve big data from military satellites to provide meaningful visualizations and analysis by using machine learning
  • Created slide deck funding package for Digital Twin which drove and documented a two-year pack back expectation for the project to help secure external funding
  • Query and analyze state of health data, scanning for trends and anomalies within the electrical power subsystem for various military communication satellites (tools used: SQL, Excel, Python)
  • Member of risk management board, working to help resolve and mitigate current and future risks posing a threat to Lockheed Martin systems
  • Expanded future opportunities and enrolled in a business strategy class, capture management; helped create contract proposals for future satellites
  • Created a custom-designed ground-based satellite antenna using systems engineering and RF engineering principles reducing the cost by over 90%

Rogne Industries, San Francisco, CA
Founder (January 2013 – Present)

  • Umbrella corporation for various entrepreneurial ventures; ImportPanda (online instructor), Pulse Fitness Gear (fitness accessories), (blog), Rog’s Repair (electronic device repair), Rezerv (app, parking platform)
  • Developed marketing strategy for Rezerv around the target consumer whose pain points were being solved with our service. These consumer groups were identified by market research (surveys, statistics, studies, reports). The market strategies chosen (ads, sponsors, philanthropy, referral) were backed by financial modeling in order to maximize buzz around the business operations (Los Angeles) and minimize cost
  • Designed UI optimized wireframe for Rezerv to pass the look and feel of the mobile application onto development
  • Developed and filmed an in-depth, step-by-step instructed guide about how to import products from China; which was failing miserably until key marketing skills were used to revamp the entire course copy
  • Reduced the cost of iPhone screen repairs from $250 to $75 by establishing business relationships with manufacturers driving up ROI and increasing inbound traffic to Rog’s Repair

Boston Scientific Neuromodulation, Valencia, CA
Mechanical Engineer Intern (June 2014 – August 2014)

  • Product worked on: Spinal Cord Stimulator (mitigates chronic pain)
  • Presented proposal for implementation of a lean manufacturing process design change to company executives that would reduce helium usage to 48% and increase success yield from 83% to 95%, saving a minimum of $50,000 each year
  • Designed and conducted experiments, analyzed datasets, and ran statistical tests to improve affordability
  • Helped identify the root cause of an issue during the manufacturing process of a new component, and modified the machine script to alleviate the problem
  • Designed parts using SolidWorks & quickly prototyped them using 3D printing

  • Saved engineers hundreds of hours of time by programming testing scripts to collect failure data in the Alpha version of the product
